Apple is planning a flash based Ipod Mini. The new 4-GB version of Apple's iPod Mini digital-music player will employ a flash-memory drive rather than a micro disk drive. The flash drive will be supplied by Samsung.



It has been rumoured that Apple is expected to have the Flash Ipod Mini in shops in time for the holidays. Apple is expected to ship between 3 and 6 million of the devices in the second half of this year.
